  • Un point est attribué à chaque pilote qui mène au moins un tour pendant une course.
  • Des points supplémentaires sont attribués aux pilotes selon leurs performances aux qualifications à l'Indy 500 et en Iowa.
  • En cas d'égalité, le championnat se joue sur le nombre de victoires, suivi du nombre de 2e places, 3e places, etc. Ensuite par le nombre de pole position, de 2e places sur la grille, etc.
